    Objectives:

    The purpose of the ITC Internship programme is to:

    • provide students from diverse academic backgrounds with the opportunity to gain meaningful work experience in the area of trade-related technical assistance aimed to expand their academic, professional and personal learning; 
    • gain exposure and real world insights to working in an international environment and the chance to build valuable business networks; 
    • gain experience in the work of ITC and deepen their knowledge and understanding of ITC’s goal and mission; 
    • provide ITC with the assistance and enthusiasm of outstanding young students in various professional fields;
    • Bring novel perspectives, new ideas and fresh insights and specialised strengths and skill sets to ITC workplace.

    Eligibility Criteria:

    ITC may accept applicants to the Internship programme provided the following conditions are met at the time of application:

    a) Be enrolled in the second or final academic year of the first university degree programme (minimum Bachelor’s level or equivalent);
    b) Be enrolled in a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher); or
    c) Have graduated with a university degree (as defined in (a) and (b) above) and, if selected, must commence the internship within one year of graduation.

    Applicants should have a good command of English or French.

    How to apply

    Please ensure that your application is complete before submission as incomplete applications will not be considered. You will be requested to upload a CV and a completed proof of enrolment form, signed and stamped, by your university/educational institution. Your application will remain active for six months.     • Ye! Community Management & Social Media Marketing

      The Institutions and Ecosystem Section at ITC is looking for one intern to provide support and assistance in the preparation and implementation of institutional strengthening related project. The intern will work across several ITC programs to support the work of the section in building the managerial and operational capacity of Business Support Organizations.       Please note, in light of the current COVID-19 context, this internship is completely remote/virtual as part of ITC’s Pilot Remote Internship Programme. It is open to individuals from low-income countries, least developed countries, small island states, post-conflict and developing countries.     • Institutional Strengthening Support Intern

      The Youth & Trade Programme at ITC is looking for one intern to support with the coordination and communications for the ITC’s global community for youth entrepreneurs – Ye! Community. The intern will also contribute to social media marketing, virtual event coordination, and the coordination of Awards targeting youth entrepreneurs. The intern shall gain meaningful knowledge and skills in community management, stakeholder management, event coordination, marketing, and platforms. It is open to individuals from low-income countries, least developed countries, small island states, post-conflict and developing countries.     • West African Competitiveness Programme (WACOMP) Intern

    • Global Textiles and Clothing Programme (GTEX) Intern

      The International Trade Centre (ITC) is recruiting interns to work on technical textiles under the Global Textiles and Clothing Programme (GTEX). The individual will work with the value chains of Fibres, Textiles and Clothing. From farmers to fashion shows, we search for motivated individuals who want to learn more of the Textiles and Clothing sector.
      The TOR attached provide a more detailed overview of the duties and responsibilities expected of the Intern. The candidate should have some knowledge of the textiles and clothing sector, they must also possess experience in the area of ​​project planning and implementation. Excellent knowledge of the global textile and clothing industry and a proven ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
