    National Consultant (Jordan) – Digitalisation in the Textile & Clothing Sector

    ITC is looking for a national digitalisation expert based in Jordan to join the MENATEX Jordan project team. The candidate should have at least 5 years of professional work experience in process digitalization and/or using digital tools in the textile and clothing sector. Experience providing coaching and/or advising companies is desirable.
    The objective of this assignment is to support Jordanian clothing manufacturers in digitalising their businesses by assessing the current level of digitalisation, developing roadmaps for each business and supporting their implementation through one-on-one advisory.     International consultant – Jordan Textile and Garment Export Analysis

    ITC is looking for an international expert with excellent knowledge of the textile and clothing sector in the Middle East, in particular the GCC countries, to conduct an export market analysis study. The objective of this assignment is to provide actionable recommendations to clothing manufacturers in Jordan for accessing and/or increasing their sales in in these markets. The candidate should have at least 8 years of professional work experience in the textile and clothing sector in the Middle East, including experience conducting export market analyses and developing export marketing plans. We are ideally looking for someone with an excellent understanding of buyer requirements and strong networks of buyers in the region.     National Consultant (Jordan) – Gender Expert for the Textile and Clothing Sector

    ITC is looking for a national gender expert based in Jordan to join the MENATEX Jordan project team. The candidate should have at least 3 years of professional work experience in gender analysis and/or advisory, ideally including experience advising companies and/or institutions on gender topics. Previous experience in/ knowledge of the Jordanian textile and clothing sector and its gender dynamics would be a plus. The objective of this assignment is to provide tangible recommendations to Jordanian clothing manufacturers and business support organisations for increasing gender responsiveness within their companies/organisations and in the sector at large. In addition, the consultant should review existing training materials to ensure adequate incorporation of gender considerations and identify potential female role models within the Jordanian textile and clothing sector.     Consultant Vacancy for the Midterm Self-Evaluation of the ITC Project “ARISE Plus Malaysia” (ACA/2020/415-686)

    The International Trade Centre (ITC), Office of Asia Pacific (OAP), in the Division of Country Programmes (DCP) is looking for a qualified consultant to conduct a midterm self-evaluation of the ITC ‘ARISE Plus Malaysia Project’. Please see Terms of Reference. The expected timeframe is from May to August 2022. The objectives of the midterm evaluation are to assess the project performance against the planned outcomes and outputs, as set out in the logical framework; examine the relevance of the project’s objectives and approach, how the project activities have proved efficient and effective, the extent to which the project is progressing towards the planned outcome, and whether the project is likely to be sustainable; inform and guide the second half of the project’s implementation phase; and consider the broader regional framework of the action to promote exchanges of experience among ASEAN countries. The scope of the evaluation will cover all project activities from 1 February 2021 to the effective start of the midterm evaluation. Candidates should have technical skills and work experience in trade-related development initiatives; demonstrated knowledge of and a strong record in designing and/or leading evaluations (including qualitative and quantitative evaluation methods) of development projects/programmes within the past five years; prior project/programme evaluation experience in trade-related technical assistance projects, including in-depth knowledge of evaluation principles, methodologies, data collection tools, and data analysis; strong knowledge of developing country economies in Asia, with knowledge of the economic and trade context in Malaysia an asset.     Trade Facilitation Expert

    The International Trade Centre (ITC) is implementing a trade facilitation project in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan in partnership with GIZ to improve the competitiveness of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and boost exports from Jordan through trade facilitation reforms, in line with the WTO Trade Facilitation Agreement (TFA).
    In this context, ITC wishes to recruit an International Consultant to support the implementation of the technical trade facilitation activities and thus contribute to the overall objective of increasing employment through improved cross-border trade environment and fostering growth of Jordanian small businesses. Fluent in both written and oral English and Arabic, the International Consultant should be based in Geneva, Switzerland, have sound knowledge of international trade, and trade facilitation specifically, as well as previous experience in implementing trade-related technical assistance.     Entrepreneurship Ecosystem Mapping Consultant

    The International Trade Centre (ITC) is looking for a National Consultant to conduct an ecosystem mapping analysis of the entrepreneurship support in Colombia. The consultant will use ITC’s mapping methodology to analyse the existing support services for entrepreneurs offered by incubators, accelerators, tech hubs and related institutions in the country and will provide recommendations for improvement as part of the research. The mapping analysis will contribute to the overall development of the entrepreneurship sector in Colombia by strengthening the institutional environment in which young entrepreneurs operate and the level of assistance they receive, critical determinants of the success of youth-owned businesses. The candidate should have at least 3 years of work experience in entrepreneurship support (i.e.: incubators, accelerators), research and report writing skills and good knowledge of the start-up and innovation environment in Colombia.

    Environmental Sustainability Expert

    ITC is looking for a environmental sustainability expert in agricultural value chains to work with the SheTrades West Africa team, within the Sustainable and Inclusive Value Chain Section, of the Division of Enterprises and Institutions. Please find attached the Terms of Reference. The candidate should have at least 7 years of professional experience in mainstreaming environmental sustainability into agricultural value chains including concrete actions on e.g. climate smart agriculture, nature based solutions and resource efficiency, with a Degree in Environmental or Agricultural Engineering, International Trade, Economics or related field. Work experience in cashew, shea or oil seeds is an advantage. Fluency in English is required.     International consultant - Life Sciences and Vaccine Industry Programme Development Adviser

    ITC is looking for an international consultant - Life Sciences and Vaccine Industry Programme Development Adviser. The overall objective of the assignment is to develop the Vaccine Industry and Trade Ecosystem initiative as a programme, including creating the stakeholder-endorsed and aligned implementation plan for the one-year Japan-funded project in Nigeria and the designing the extension of initiative thematically and/or geographically.
    The Consultant should hold a postgraduate degree in Business Administration/Management, Health Policy or Regulation with a specialization or training in the life science industries, or a postgraduate degree in Biological/Pharmaceutical sciences or Biomedical Engineering with training in business administration or management. ITC expects the Consultant to have at least 8 years of professional work experience in the life sciences sector, preferably in vaccine and vaccine components manufacturing, policy or regulation. ITC prefers working with and/or established network manufacturers and/or regulatory agencies in developing countries preferably. The Consultant will have expertise in at least one of the following areas: (1) Industrial cluster development, particularly in the life sciences; (2) End-to-end process of vaccine development (from R&D to market introduction); (3) Understanding of procurement mechanisms and market access for vaccine and vaccine components; (4) Operations management for pharmaceutical/vaccine and components manufacturing and R&D services (clinical trials); (5) Barriers to trade and investments in the life sciences.

    Consultant (e) National(e) – Spécialiste de la gestion des projets et du suivi-évaluation

    L’ITC recrute un (e) consultant (e) – spécialiste de la gestion des projets et du suivi-évaluation aura pour mission principale d’appuyer la mise en œuvre du PACAO-Sénégal et de réaliser régulièrement un reporting d’avancement sur l’exécution du projet. Le PACAO-Sénégal vise le développement de chaînes de valeur régionales porteuses en termes de valeur ajoutée locale, d’exportation et de création d’emplois directs en particulier pour les femmes et les jeunes. Il couvre trois chaînes de valeur : la mangue, l’oignon et les services de technologie et de la communication (TIC). Au quotidien, le/la consultant (e) – spécialiste de la gestion des projets et du suivi-évaluation travaillera, de manière étroite, avec le Consultant senior et l’équipe du Bureau local. Il/Elle travaillera sur site et devra assurer une présence au Bureau local à Dakar, conformément aux horaires de travail en vigueur. Une expérience d’au moins trois (3) années d’expérience dans la mise en œuvre de projets d'assistance technique liée au commerce au Sénégal, en particulier dans le secteur de l’agriculture est souhaitée.     Consultant Web Developer

    ITC is looking for motivated Web Developer Consultant with advanced knowledge of web technologies and methodologies, preferable with a prior experience in Microsoft web technologies mandatory such as (C# / ASP.NET 4.5 / JQuery/ React/ HTML5/ CSS3/ WEBAPI) and other JavaScript frameworks. Candidates with master or bachelor degree having minimum 4 years of hands on experience with front-end and back-end web technologies.
