National Programme Steering Committee (NPSC)
To facilitate the implementation of the GRASP project, ITC has established three project Steering Committees, one at the national level and one for each province. The NPSC will serve as the highest decision-making body of the GRASP project and represents its main stakeholders.
The committee will guide and oversee the overall direction and policy of the GRASP project, validate strategic approach, review and monitor project progress and performance as well as ensure coherence and efficient implementation of all GRASP components.
The National Programme Steering Committee will also promote coordination of GRASP project with those of the government Annual development Plan and other donor interventions in Pakistan, by providing support in policy dialogue as well.
The standing members of NPSC shall be composed of the following:
Sindh Program Steering Committee (SPSC)
The Programme Steering Committee in Sindh will oversee and orient the work of the project to ensure that project achieves its expected results in the province. It will support provincial policy dialogue and provide strategic guidance on coordination with other programmes at the provincial level.
The SPSC shall be composed of representatives of the following institutions/organizations
The SPSC will also invite, as required, representative from other public and private sectors to participate in the deliberations of the SPSC as observers.
Balochistan Program Steering Committee (BPSC)
Provincial Steering Committee in Balochistan will support provincial policy dialogue and provide strategic guidance on coordination with other programmes at provincial level. It will be responsible for reporting progress to the NPSC as well as identifying barriers to implementation and mitigation measures.
The BPSC shall be composed of representatives of the following institutions/organizations
Others will also include private sector representatives from the provincial horticulture, livestock, agriculture and dairy sectors as well as members of academia.
