ITC Extrabudgetary funding

  • Extrabudgetary funds (XB) are voluntary contributions to the ITC Trust Fund (ITF). The volume of XB funds depends on agreements with ITC’s funders on an on-going basis, with project budgets usually spanning several years. In 2018, ITC received $90.6 million of XB contributions.

    In the ITC Operational Plan 2018, the planned XB budget for 2018 was set at $55.7 million. Delivery of XB- funds during the year amounted to $63.9 million, or 115%..

    In 2018, ITC delivered 86% of country-specific technical assistance in priority countries.

    Priority countries are least developed countries (LDCs), landlocked developing countries (LLDCs), small island developing states (SIDS), sub-Saharan African countries (SSA), small vulnerable economies (SVEs) and post-conflict countries and fragile states.

    In terms of regions, 56% of this delivery focused on sub-Saharan Africa, 20% in the Asia-Pacific region and 12% in Arab States. The remaining 12% was for Eastern Europe and Central Asia and Latin America and the Caribbean.
